This track combines two of songwriter Murray Fitch's favourite things - water and lost love, with a bit of geomorphology thrown in. The Fraser River starts as a trickle in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, becoming a colossus before discharging to the Pacific Ocean at Vancouver. The song traces some of these steps along the way, and the relationship that it parallels.
